“I’m not going back!” Wanda refused without hesitation as soon as she heard Horace’s
words. “I’m already a grown-up, Grandpa, so you don’t have to intervene in my business!”
Never had Horace expected that Wanda would say such words to him. In that split second,

“Grandpa? Why are you here?” Nicholas was surprised at Remus’ arrival. With the help of
his walking stick, Remus walked to the couch and sat down. “I went to visit Horace at the
hospital just now.” He told Nicholas the truth.
Nicholas nodded. He had already heard the news of Horace being admitted to the hospital.
“Is he alright?”
“He’s fine. He is just upset.” As Remus spoke, he looked at Nicholas with hesitation.
Looking at his expression, Nicholas raised his eyebrow and asked, “Is there something you
wish to tell me, Grandpa?”

After some consideration, Remus still decided to speak his mind. “Yes. I hope you can talk
to Wanda for the sake of Mr. Muller. After all, you are the reason for her doings. I’m sure
that
everything will come to an end if you talk to her.” He didn’t need to feel guilty about it
since he was just asking Nicholas to persuade Wanda.
However, he never expected Nicholas to refuse immediately as soon as he heard his
request. “I can’t do anything about this.”
Remus disagreed with his words and said, “Why not? She loves you. I’m sure she’ll listen
to you if you talk to her.”
However, Nicholas was persistent. “If a person were to continue their wrongdoings even
when they know it is their fault, they are hopeless. No matter how much others try to talk
them out of it, it would be useless.”
Remus was rendered speechless. “Moreover, if Wanda was really repentant, she would
have listened to Mr. Muller and gone abroad herself,” Nicholas added.
In the end, Remus could only return home because he wasn’t able to argue against
Nicholas.
