“I think we should wrap up the shoot for today, director, Nicholas said. “My wife is tired
and needs rest. We can continue filming tomorrow.” He stated his intentions in a very
blunt manner. Hearing that, the director hesitated.
Knowing what the director was hesitating about, Nicholas continued, “The Sawyer Group
will take full responsibility for the fees that come with renting the set for another day,
including paying for the workers. The company will pay for it all.”
With that offer, the director realized that it would seem rather inhumane of him if he
continued to reject Nicholas’ suggestion. Tessa’s condition was rather unique in the first
place. That was understandable. Even so….
“Mr. Sawyer, I do not have the final say on this. Still, I will pass the suggestion on. I think
they will understand Miss Reinhart’s difficulties. They will surely not blame this on her, so
you can bring her back to rest now.”
“Thank you.”
After giving a few polite thanks, Nicholas turned and returned to his family. When Tessa

go?”
“We’ll be taking a break this afternoon. Filming will continue tomorrow.”
He then lifted her into his arms and strode out of the room. Upon seeing that, Gregory
hurried after them, and Alice did so too.
As for the other crew members, they were sick with envy when they saw that.
This was especially true for several of the female crew members. “Goodness, Mr. Sawyer is
just so hot,” one of them exclaimed with starry eyes and her hands clutching at her chest.
“Yeah, particularly when he was negotiating with the director. He was so cool!” another
said. “Mr. Sawyer has all the qualities of my ideal boyfriend. He’s absolutely perfect.”
“I envy Miss Reinhart so much. She’s so lucky. and Mr. Sawyer dotes on her so much.”
“Did you realize that when we were filming, he didn’t look away from her for a single
second?”
Many of the women on set began to compare their boyfriends and husbands against
Nicholas. The end results made them feel even more dejected than before.
“How can there be such a huge gap between men?” one cried out. “They are all men, so
why is Mr. Sawyer so outstanding? Compared to him, my husband can’t even be
considered a man.”
“Mine is ugly and broke. Let’s not even talk about doting on me. After work, I still have to
wait on him.” The more they chatted, the more jealous they were.
Finally, they concluded, “Miss Reinhart must have saved the entire galaxy in her last life.
That’s why she gets someone as amazing as Mr. Sawyer.”
On the drive home, while Tessa was still rather tired, she still had some energy left in her.
She leaned her head against Nicholas’ shoulder and chuckled. “My condition isn’t as
serious as you thought. I could have worked for a while longer.”
To her surprise, when she said that, his face. turned into a severe look. “I told you to never
fool around with your health.”
He turned and shot an angry glare at her.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmEven Gregory had a stern look on his face as he lectured, “You’re being naughty, Mommy.
You have to listen to Daddy and take care of yourself.”
She stuck her tongue out at the two guys in her life who looked extremely identical. “All
right,” she said. “I won’t ignore my health in the future.”
She glanced at Gregory before wrapping her arms around Nicholas’ arm and pleaded,
“Don’t be angry.”
Nicholas was not truly angry in the first place. Hence, her simple plea was enough to make
his face soften. He sighed and helplessly asked, “Why are you working so hard for? It’s not
like I can’t afford to clothe and feed you.”
Hearing the upset tone in his voice, she knew it was because he did not want her to
exhaust herself. “I swear, this will be the last time I’m going to work, she promised. “Once
this is over, I’ll stay. home and rest until I give birth.”
She gently tugged at his arm as she coyly pleaded once more with a sincere look in her
eyes. After all, there was only a month or so left.
As Nicholas looked down at his pleading wife, his eyes darkened. “I recall a certain
someone promising to stop working as well last time.”
Did she? She blinked at him, unable to recall such a moment.
