Chapter 1352
The two of them figured out the situation for almost the whole night and came to a
realization that the company would suffer huge losses due to this project. Hence, their
expressions suddenly turned serious.
"We can't lose money. Hestonville Group should be made responsible." Sabrina expressed
her thoughts and added, "Besides, it is strange that they want to withdraw all of a
sudden."
Yaromir agreed with a nod. "I'll try to arrange a meetup with the person in charge from
Hestonville Group tomorrow."
"Let me settle this, Yaromir. Dad isn't in good condition these days while you have too
much on your plate settling company matters."
Sabrina looked at her brother with determination as she decided to share the burden of
her family.
Yaromir realized that there was no use in persuading her not to, so he simply agreed.
The next day, Sabrina came to the office early, but she wasn't in high spirits.
Timothy noticed her lack of energy and inquired, "Did you have a bad sleep?"
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt"You can say so."
Sabrina did not intend to tell him about her family matters, so she simply nodded in
response to his question.
Though Timothy didn't know the truth, he was still concerned about her lack of rest.
"Come to my office and take a nap during lunch."
"I'm afraid I can't. I gotta drop by my dad's at noon," she rejected his offer.
Timothy quickly noticed something wrong and asked with concern, "Did something
happen?"
After all, Sabrina had never left the company during lunch hours.
"It's nothing. I'm just going over to check whether he's having his meals on time and
whether he's taking good rest. You know how his health went haywire a few days ago."
In fact, she didn't want to trouble him, thus she simply came up with a random excuse.
Timothy didn't think too much about it and nodded.
Initially, he intended to send her over, but he had a client to meet at noon.
At noon, Sabrina bid him goodbye and left the company.
Then, she drove to a fancy restaurant.
After entering the venue, she looked around to find the person she was looking for sitting
in front of the windows.
"Hello, Mr. Hazelwood."
She went over and greeted him politely.
As Johnnie Hazelwood looked at the capable and professional-looking girl in front of him,
surprise flashed in his eyes.
"I've long heard that Mr. Gulliver has a daughter, but I didn't expect her to be so
gorgeous."
He looked at Sabrina with a lewd gaze, stretched his hand out to shake her hand, and
even gently rubbed her palm with his finger. "I'm Johnnie Hazelwood, the person in charge
of the Hestonville project."
When Sabrina felt the subtle gesture in the palm of her hand, she felt sick and quickly
pulled her hand back.
"I'm here today to find out why your company decided to pull out of the Hestonville
project."
She cut straight to the point with a solemn look.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmThe reason for her attitude was the man's suggestive gaze that was revolting.
As if not noticing the unpleasant look on her face, he replied nonchalantly, "I did it just
because I felt like doing it. I know the reason for your visit, Miss Gulliver. If you don't mind
going for a drink or two with me in the afternoon, I would happily reconsider the
collaboration between our companies."
Sabrina's expression sank as she heard those words.
She knew the implication of liis words. "Since you have no intention of negotiating
sincerely, let's forget about this meeting!"
With that, she got up to leave.
Johnnie's feather-like voice suddenly sounded in her ears. "Sounds like you're not planning
to recover the company's losses, Miss Gulliver?"
Sabrina halted in her steps upon hearing that as she clenched her handbag.
Just as she was hesitating, a soft voice sounded in her ear.
"What's going on?"
Sabrina turned her head and was surprised to see the two people standing before her.
"Tess, President Sawyer, what brings you two here?"
"We're here for a meal. What a coincidence it is to see you here," Tessa explained with a
smile. Then, she glanced sideways at Johnnie and asked, "What's going on here?"
"Nothing. I'm just here for business."
