Chapter 739
Michael had long gotten used to Kirk’s behavior. As an expert psychologist, and based on his observations lately, he
found that Caroline was the only person who could affect Kirk’s mood.
After listening to Kirk explain Caroline’s condition, Michael pulled out a chair and gestured for
him to sit
“I conducted a meeting with several other psychologists after hypnotizing her last time,” said Michael.
“We agreed that the best solution for her for now is to undergo hypnotherapy.
He continued, “If we hypnotize her for the second time, some things may go out of hand. It’s because the person
who hypnotized her back then employed a rather peculiar method during the
process.
“That’s why she can’t remember anything about her past at all. But we don’t know the method
that they used.”
Frustrated, Kirk asked, “What do you plan to do?”
“We have two ways to solve this. The first one is to use electroshock therapy. The strong stimulation can make her
forget Mr. Morrison Senior’s death,” Michael suggested.

“Another option would be hypnotization. But since we
hypnotize her back then, we can’t guarantee what will happen after she gets hypnotized a second
time.”
“What’s the worst–case scenario?”
“The worst thing that could happen
Michale pondered the question briefly before answering, “Well, it could wipe out all of her
memories.”
Kirk’s face darkened considerably. “And that includes me?”
Michael could somehow hear a bit of a tremble in Kirk’s voice, but the facts couldn’t be changed. With great
difficulty, he nodded and said, “Yes. Everything.”
Kirk blinked and fell silent for a long time before asking, “Is there any other way to settle this?”

Michael sighed heavily at the question

Michael continued. “Unless you don’t care about how she fares in the future My suggestion is to
let things be and stop interfering.
“Perhaps one day she will think things through and let go of the guilt and remorse she feels. This
sort of thing isn’t unheard of in psychology. Human psychology is highly complex, after all.
“I can’t guarantee what would happen, although people say that I’m at the pinnacle of this
profession-”
“I only have one question now,” Kirk interrupted him.
“How likely is your idea of waiting for her to think things through?”
“Based on the thousands of cases I’ve taken, only a few succeeded in doing so. I would say one out
of one thousand patients had done it before,” Michael replied with a wry smile.
Kirk waited no more. He simply turned and left the room.
“Kirk,” a worried Michael called out, but Kirk was already at the entrance with the door ajar.
The look on Kirk’s face when he turned back to look at Michael was so foreboding that the latter’s
footsteps faltered.

The corners of Michael’s mouth twitched at that. He was sure that Kirk would have strangled him
to death after he had proposed the two methods if it hadn’t been for the fact that he was Caroline’s
final hope.
Caroline was so occupied with preparing to integrate Collins Group and Evans Group that she had
no spare time to continue her scriptwriting.
She only realized that she hadn’t contacted Rosalind in a long time when Quentin called her.
“Do you have news regarding the two tasks I gave you?” asked Caroline as she stretched and
headed for the balcony to relax.

“Yep, but there isn’t much progress,” Quentin replied.
“I might disappoint you.”
“It’s been 25 years or so since then. I would be surprised if you could find out anything about it,”
said Caroline.
“Tell me what you discovered.”
