After the meeting ended, Xavier followed Emmett to the president’s office.

Xavier put the documents on the desk and turned to leave without saying a word.

“Xavier.”

Emmett suddenly stopped him.

Xavier raised his head and looked at him with confusion. “Is there anything else?”

“Go back and rest.” Emmett knew that Xavier had been working overtime for days in the company.

Xavier turned him down. He said, “It’s okay. I like work.”

Arthur just pushed the door open and came in. He heard Xavier’s words clearly.

There was a crack on his usually serious face. Since when did Xavier like to work? Was he crazy?

“I’ll go back to my office first.” Xavier turned around and saw Arthur. He patted Arthur’s shoulder as a

greeting.

Arthur’s eyes followed Xavier’s back until he disappeared outside the door. He then asked Emmett,

“What happened to him?”

“He’s crazy.”

Emmett lowered his eyes and looked at the documents on the desk. He casually spat out these two

words. He did not know if he was talking about Xavier or himself.

He had been in a bad mood for the past few days.

Alyssa, that woman, was determined to be angry with him this time?

Arthur noticed that although Emmett’s gaze was on the documents, he was clearly not looking at the

next time?”
