Chapter 366
Hazel looked towards the kitchen and said. "I'll go to help Alyssa. You stay here and don't cause any
trouble."
Xavier did not know whether to laugh or cry after being warned by Hazel. Was he a six or seven year
boy that he would cause trouble?
After saying that, Hazel did not wait for Xavier’s response and went to Alyssa. Xavier was alone in the
hall.
In the kitchen, Alyssa was washing the vegetables.
When she heard movement behind her, she turned her head and saw Hazel, "Miss Hazel, why did you
come in?"
Hazel curled her lips, "You used to call me Hazel."
Alyssa looked at her with an apologetic expression.
Hazel saw her like this and quickly said, "Let's not talk about that. I'll help you wash the vegetables."
"No need. I can do it myself."
"Let me help you. This way, we can quickly cook. I'm so hungry."
Alyssa prepared the food and brought it to the table. Just as she was about to eat with them, she heard
the sound of the door opening.
She turned her head and looked towards the door. She saw Sampson had already changed his shoes
and was walking towards the restaurant.
He was still holding the car keys in his hand. When he looked up and saw the three people in the
restaurant, he was clearly stunned.
But soon, he regained his composure.
His gaze swept past Hazel and Xavier's faces and finally landed on Alyssa's face. With a light smile, he
said gently, "There are guests at home?"
These words sounded very intimate.
"Yes." Alyssa stood up and asked. "Why are you back so soon?"
Sampson just smiled at her and did not explain.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtHe walked to Alyssa's side. "Aren't you going to introduce your friends to me?"
Alyssa looked at him and then turned to look at Hazel, "This is Hazel."
"Nice to meet you, Miss Hazel. I am Sampson West." Sampson reached out his hand to Hazel with an
appropriate smile on his face.
Hazel reached out her hand and said. "Nice to meet you too, Mr. West."
As she spoke, she sized Sampson up without batting an eyelid.
His looks were not as good as Emmett's, but he looked very friendly and kind. He should be a person
with a good personality.
It was too difficult for Alyssa to find a man as outstanding as Emmett.
However, Sampson took care of Alyssa for three years. This was not something an ordinary man could
do.
Sampson nodded slightly and looked at Xavier. "Mr. Halls is here too."
Xavier glanced at the hand that Sampson had just shook with Hazel and raised his eyebrows. His tone
was not very friendly. "Yes. Am I not welcome here, Mr. West?”
"You are Alyssa’s friend. Of course, you are a welcome guest." Sampson lowered his eyes to look at
Alyssa. His expression was calm.
Alyssa felt the atmosphere was not right, so she asked Sampson, "You have not eaten, have you? I will
serve you food some rice."
"I will go and get it myself." Sampson reached out his hand and gently pressed on Alyssa's shoulder,
then turned around and went to the kitchen.
The moment Sampson left, Hazel kicked Xavier under the table.
Xavier sucked in a breath of cold air from the pain.
When he turned back to look at Hazel, she was staring at him with a cold expression.
Xavier immediately bit back the words he wanted to say.
The rest of the meal was quite harmonious.
Other than Xavier who did not like Sampson, Alyssa, Hazel and Sampson had a good conversation.
After the meal, Sampson did not leave immediately. Instead, he helped Alyssa clean up the plates.
The two of them looked harmonious and tacit. They looked like a married couple who had been married
for a long time.
Hazel watched at the scene in front of her with mixed feelings.
She was used to seeing Alyssa and Emmett together. Now that she saw Alyssa with another man, she
was still not used to it.
When Alyssa and Sampson both entered the kitchen, Xavier turned to Hazel, "Hazel, you are a mature
woman. So don't be like those little girls! You cannot judge a person's good and bad based on his
appearance, especially men!"
Hazel naturally knew that Xavier was talking about Sampson.
She snorted and said, "Some people judge others with prejudices."
Xavier took a deep breath and looked in the direction of the kitchen. He whispered in her ear in a
serious voice, "Hazel! Even though Emmett and Alyssa had lost their memories now, they still have
Angela! Angela is Alyssa's biological daughter after all. This is something she should know!"
“But Emmett doesn't recognize anyone right now. Even if Alyssa finds out that Angela is her daughter,
so what? Won’t Emmett still think that she is crazy? Especially that bullshit sister of his..."
Hazel was really angry when she talked about Kathleen.
At that time, after the accident in the island when Kathleen found Emmett, she withdrew the rescue
team that was supposed to find Alyssa. Hazel also knew about it.
When Emmett woke up, he did not remember anything. When Xavier went to find him, he did not
believe Xavier at all.
The person Emmett trusted the most was Kathleen.
As a result, Emmett only knew those things that Kathleen wanted him to know.
Hazel, on the other hand, had not had the chance to speak to Emmett except for her occasional glance
at Emmett from afar during some events in the past three years.
Xavier restrained his expression and said, "I feel that this matter cannot be kept hidden from Alyssa."
"If it wasn’t for the Lawrence family having so many shitty matters, Alyssa might still be fine now." After
Hazel finished speaking, she felt that what she said was meaningless. She added, "Let's talk about it in
the future. Maybe they will remember by themselves one day."
Just as Hazel finished speaking, Sampson walked out of the kitchen.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmAs soon as Hazel and Xavier saw him come out, they both sat upright at the same time and kept their
mouths shut tightly.
"Are Miss Hazel and Mr. Halls busy with their usual work?" Sampson walked over to them calmly. From
his expression, it could not be seen if he had heard their conversation just now.
They were all sensible people. Sampson was very polite when he said that, but in fact, he was actually
asking them to leave.
"We are a little busy. We are just about to leave." Hazel immediately stood up.
Sampson heard her and said, "I will send you off."
"Are you leaving?" Alyssa who came out from behind just happened to hear them.
"Yes." Hazel stood up and walked in front of Alyssa, "Give me your phone number. I will bring you to
hang out when I have time."
Hazel exchanged her phone number with Alyssa and walked out of the door.
Alyssa walked to the door and was about to go out with them, when she was pushed in by Hazel, "You
go back first. Mr. West can just send us home. I will look for you to play next time. Goodbye."
Hearing this, Alyssa nodded and bed farewell to them.
The moment the door closed, the expressions of the three people standing at the door changed subtly.
The three of them entered the elevator together.
Hazel looked at the number that kept sinking, and her tone carried a rare seriousness. "How did Mr.
West get to know Alyssa?"
She had just noticed that the clothes Sampson was wearing were a low-profile brand from overseas.
The watch in his hand was also a limited edition and he did not seem to lack money. He gave off a
calm aura and was a man with rich life experience.
If such a man was in the crowd, even if Hazel was used to seeing rich young masters and big
celebrities, she would not be able to help but look at him a few more times.
She had known Alyssa for so many years and she was very clear about Alyssa's social circle. She had
never seen a figure like Sampson before.
The expression on Sampson’s face did not change and he said lightly, "I knew her earlier than Miss
Hazel."
