Nicole had just returned to San Joto, but people had already started speaking ill about her and Jared. Therefore, it

He would never allow someone of such character to stay in his company.

Nicole shrugged, seemingly very satisfied with the way he had handled it. "I’m glad you don't miss her."

This prompted Jared to bow his head and look at her.

"Why would I miss her?" he asked, intrigued.
