Chapter 2707
The car pulled up at a derelict building situated at the west of San Joto, where the kidnappers had instructed the
driver to stop. However, they did not let him go. Instead, they knocked him out and left him in the car.
"Take her inside. Our job will be done once we're in. We'll take the money and leave," one of them said.
The kidnappers wanted to leave San Joto right after they had gotten the money, which would be enough for them
to start over.
After entering the building, they tied Nicole to a chair and looked outside, seemingly waiting for someone to make
an appearance.
Nicole narrowed her eyes as a faint smirk crossed her face.1 Seems like Chloe won't disappoint me.'
And as expected, Chloe arrived about ten minutes later.
Nicole heard the scraping of a wheelchair on the ground, and that was when she looked up to see Chloe entering

"Didn't expect to end up like this one day, huh?" Chloe mocked as she eyed a disheveled Nicole.
"Well, I'm not surprised," Nicole coldly remarked as she shot Chloe a glance.
"Hmm, you're still putting on airs at a time like this. Oh I'm going to enjoy watching you cry," Chloe said resentfully.
She was pissed at the fact that Nicole was able to face her situation with such equanimity, when in fact, Nicole was
not afraid of her at all.
'Does she really think that I won't dare to do anything to her? ' Chloe wondered.
"I'm curious, how will you make me cry?" Nicole raised an eyebrow and looked Chloe in the eye.
Just like that, Nicole's attitude made Chloe even more furious.
"Since you're curious, I'll show you!" she yelled through gritted teeth.
Then, Chloe turned to her assistant. "Bring it to her and have her put her fingerprint on it!"
"Sure." The assistant took the document out and approached Nicole.
Chloe was afraid that Nicole did not understand what was going on, so she explained, "This document is a contract
of transfer. The moment you press your finger against the sheet of paper, Riddle Corporation becomes mine.”
"It's been over five years, and you're still so naive?" Nicole asked, looking somewhat defeated. 'Is Riddle
Corporation something that she could have if she wanted it?'
Moreover, even if Nicole gave it to Chloe, there was no guarantee that she would be able to manage it well. She
had never even managed a company before.
"Stop pretending. You'll see who's naive when you lose everything!" Chloe shouted.
Chloe then turned to look at her assistant once. "Why aren't you getting her fingerprint?"
"Okay." The assistant opened the document and pressed Nicole's finger against the empty section at the bottom.
Chloe filled the room with maniacal laughter after she had grabbed the document with Nicole's fingerprint on it."
Hahaha! It's finally mine."
"Are you sure?!" Nicole eyed Chloe with a mocking look on her face.

"Of course, there's more to come." Chloe flashed Nicole a wicked grin. "I've prepared other gifts for you."
After saying that, Chloe motioned at her assistant, who immediately produced a knife and pointed it at Nicole's
face.
"I'd like to see if disfiguring you will make Jared even want to look at you anymore. Without Jared’s support, there's
no way you'll be able to turn the tables," Chloe said.
At long last, she could finally crush Nicole under her feet and make her fall.
At that moment, Nicole's eyes darkened as she wondered,1 Chloe is still not done trying to destroy me, huh?'
"I advise you not to move."
Nicole's calm voice, though uttered nonchalantly, sent a shiver down everyone's spine, and the assistant
instinctively took a step back.
"You idiot! Just do it!" Chloe yelled when she saw her assistant hesitating.
Nicole, however, was just looking at Chloe's assistant calmly. The latter's hand was shaking as she was holding the
knife, and as one could tell, she was struggling to do the deed.
"Give it to me!" Chloe shouted, unable to wait any longer.
Then, she wheeled herself forward and snatched the knife away, before slashing at Nicole's face.
