Chapter 254
“Is that so? Alright. I’ll leave her alone,” Lucas promised. “After all, she’s not the one I’m looking for.”
Serenity’s appearance had a lot of shadows of the girl in Lucas ‘s memory. Sometimes, when he
looked at her, he felt that the girl would have grown up to look like Serenity.
Either way, it was just a resemblance. Serenity was not the girl.
she’s the one you’re looking for? Would you stay put too? Jackson c ocked an eyebrow.
Lucas remained unperturbed, but waves of unreadable emotions flashed in his eyes. It was
indescribable. “If she is, I won’t let go even if it’s against you.”
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtJackson’s eyes narrowed. “So, it’s a good thing she wasn’t, right?
“Yes, fortunately.” Lucas responded and turned to leave.
Fortunately, she isn’t her. If she is, things will turn messy!’ Lucas thought. He unconsciously reached
into his pocket and touched the bracelet inside, wondering how long it would take to find her.
Finding the girl in his memory had almost become his obsession.
When Serenity walked out of the changing room, Jackson and the bodyguard were guarding the door,
and no one else was
around.
“You’re done changing “Jackson looked at Serenity.
Serenity had changed into her usual everyday look and tied her hair into a ponytail, also removing the
makeup on her face. She had no makeup on, but she looked better and pleasing to the eye.
“Yeah, Serenity answered.
“Let’s go, then,” Jackson said and naturally reached out to take Serenity’s hand, but she almost
instinctively pulled her hand back
Jackson raised an eyebrow, his dark eyes focused on her. “Why? You don’t want to?”
“I-I can walk myself.”
I like holding hands with you,” Jackson said. He reached out again, taking her hand. “If I hold you like
this, you won’t be able to go anywhere.”
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmHis casual tone startled her. It sounded like he was weaving a dense net around her, trying to control
her life.
Serenity did not want to get involved with him again. She just could not read a man like him nor figure
out his intentions. If she wasn’t careful, she might annoy him. Her consequence would be worse than
her past three years in prison!
Serenity tried to pull her hand out of h is hold, but as soon as she moved her hand, his fingers clasped
her hand tighter.
“Al” Serenity gasped. She winced and frowned at the pain on the back of her hand.
“Did I hurt you?” Jackson asked softly and slightly loosened his grip. His fingers unintentionally pressed
on the unhealed injury on the back of her hand.
Serenity but her lips slightly. “I’m fine. Please let go of me.”
