Chapter 330
Serenity took the lunch box and ate it quickly with her head down. Right now, all she wanted was to
finish the food and leave as soon as possible.
“You’re eating so fast. Are you in such a hurry to leave?” Jackson’s voice reverberated in the office.
*Cough cough*
Serenity choked on her food. She had to cover her mouth to prevent herself from spitting out the food
in her mouth. Her face turned red.
After a while, she finally stopped coughing. A few grains of rice gut on her palm, so she reached for a

She twisted her wrist uncomfortably but failed to break free. “My hand’s dirty. I need to wipe it,” she
said.
“Dirty? He chuckled. “I don’t think it’s dirty at all.” He lowered his head and pressed his lips to her palm,
licking away the grains on her palm one by one.
Serenity’s body turned stiff.
“Done.” He sounded like he hadn’t had enough yet.
Serenity came back to her senses with a jolt. She found that he had licked away all the rice on her
palm.
But he was still holding onto her hand. With his beautiful eyes, he gave her an intense stare. “The rice
tastes great. I wish there were more.”
Her heart skipped a beat. His words were very suggestive and his gaze was full of lust.
She quickly looked down to break off eye contact with him. His eyes seemed to have a magic power
that could entrance people. Fortunately, he did not keep holding onto her hand. He loosened his grip
slightly, and her hand finally regained freedom.
Serenity went back to her meal in a hurry.
A few moments later, she heard him say, “Sharing a meal with you like this makes me feel as if we’ve
returned to the past.”

The past. It felt like a dream. They could never go back to that time anymore. Everything about “Jack”
was now buried in the depths of her heart.
It was almost 1 pm when Serenity finally got back to the restaurant. Clara did not seem suspicious that
it took her almost an hour to deliver a single order. However, Serenity apologized in Clara of her own
accord. “I’m sorry it took so long.”
“Don’t worry about it. There was a lot of food, so I’m sure it took you a few trips on the elevator. Thank
you for your hard work,” said Clara, “Td the customers say anything?”
Being a business owner, she was naturally worried that the delivery recipients would complain or ask
for a refund.
“No.” Serenity sounded a bit guilty when she answered.
She went back to work and delivered other orders. When they had lunch at 2 o’clock, Serenity did not
eat much.
