Chapter 429
To be honest…she had a feeling that Serenity was the person behind all this. Did she ask for Jackson’s
help? Was that why they were so lucky?!
Clara’s thoughts were interrupted when Serenity returned to the ward with a bag of pomegranates.
“If the doctor’s okay with this, let Yanny have them when he wakes up,” she said with a beaming smile.
“Thank you, Serenity,” said Clara as tears began welling up in her eyes.
“Come on, it’s only a bag of fruits,” said Serenity, who assumed she was tearing up because she was
worried about Yanny’s condition. “His operation was completed successfully, and now, it’s just a matter

that much. I’m sure he’ll recover soon.”
“Yeah, I hope sa too,” replied Clara with a nud. Back then, she used to think of herself as Serenity’s
benefactor. She had been willing to offer her a job when the latter was struggling. Oh, how the tables
had turned!
If it weren’t for Serenity, Yanny would never have been able to undergo such a treatment,
Yanny was still asleep when Serenity and Jackson left the ward. “I’ll come back and see him next time,”
said Serenity before shr bid farewell to Clara and Mrs. Wells. They then made their way to the parking
lot outside the hospital.
Before she got into the car, Jackson reached out and pulled Serenity into his arms
“Smile for me.”
“What?” Serenity was confused.
“Smile for me, just like you did in the ward,” said Jackson. There would always be a hint of shyness
whenever she smiled at him. Rarely would he ever see her smile as brightly as she had earlier.
At that moment, her eyes had been so bright that he couldn’t take his eyes off her.
“Isn’t that how I usually smile at you?” asked Serenity skeptically. “Why do you want to see me smile all
of a sudden?”
“Because it was too beautiful. I want to see it with my own eyes again,” explained Jackson with a

Serenity felt her blood rush to her face again. “There are cameras here!”
She was worried that people would see what they were doing through the security cameras set up
around the parking lot.
“So what?” asked Jackson with eyes that were burning up with desire. “Just one more time, Sis. I want
to see your smile.”
Her heart was racing again. Serenity stared blankly at Jackson who stood before her. The expectant
look in his eyes made her feel the urge to satisfy his demands.
There it was. Her smile that was as bright as the summer sun! Oh, how endearing…
After leaving the hospital, jackson brought Serenity to a place that she never thought they would visit,
On their journey to the hospital, they passed by a street food market, and Serenity remarked that it had
been a long time since she had visited the place and that she missed it.
To her surprise, after parking their car nearby, he brought her straight to the market.
