Chapter 430
“Are you sure you want to come here?” asked Serenity in disbelief.
“Is there anything wrong with this place?” Jackson replied with another question. “Didn’t you bring me
to a night market before? I think they’re pretty similar.”
“But that was when I had no idea who you were.” Honestly, had she known Jackson’s true identity, she
never would have brought him clothes shopping at the night market.
“Why does that matter? Whether in the past or in the future, I’ll always be your Jack,” he said with a
serious look on his face.
Ugh… those eyes were the ultimate killer move for her!
“Fine… if you say so,”

Serenity pursed her lips and walked along the stalls with Jackson. Back in college, she would always
hang out with her classmates at the market. After she had started working, she naturally came here
less often.
When she was released from prison, she struggled to feed and clothe herself, so shopping here was
out of the question
It was around sunset when they came to the night market, and it was also the time when people began
pouring into the market. As they strolled around, Serenity and Jackson would stop and buy a variety of
snacks to curb their hunger.
While food stalls were the mainstay of the food market, there were many other stalls that sold cheap
clothes, fashion accessories, gadgets, and every other knick-knack one could think of.
The prices here were affordable, so most of the visitors were college students and the like.
As they made their way through the market, Serenity began to notice the looks that Jackson was
getting from the young ladies. To them, his good looks were comparable to the celebrities on the big
screen.
Back when they visited the night market, he had let his bangs down, which almost covered his eyes.
Today, he had his hair combed back, which highlighted his facial features even more.
When the two passed by a stall selling hair accessories, Serenity said, “Wait a sec, I need to buy some
scrunchies.” The ones she had were getting loose. They were extremely cheap, usually going for 2
dollars a bundle.
Normally, she would purchase them online together with other accessories. However, since they were
already at the stall, she

Jackson glanced at the black scrunchie that Serenity was using. Upon closer inspection, he noticed
that it was so worn out that the white rubber band underneath was now visible.
Serenity was slightly bent over as she browsed through the variety of scrunchies on sale. After picking
the cheapest one, was about to bargain with the storekeeper when Jackson pulled her away.
“Hey, I was gonna buy that!” she protested.
“I’ll buy it for you,” replied Jackson with a hint of sadness in his tone. He had no idea that the
scrunchies she used were so cheap or that the ones she had were so worn out,
To think she was going to bargain with the storekeeper on such a cheap accessory. The thought
created an indescribable mixture of emotions inside Jackson
“But L.”
Serenity was about to say something when he stopped in his tracks. He turned around and said,
“Serenity, is it that difficult to accept a gift from me?”
