Chapter 670
“I’m only here with a friend,” Serenity replied in a flat tone. “If you want someone to help you choose what to buy,
you’d better ask that lady over there. She’s the shopping consultant.”
And so, Lynette awkwardly went off toward the lady standing nearby for her help.
Just then, Lucas walked up toward Serenity and told her, “Don’t be too sad about your grandma. Everyone dies in
the end. Some people just get there before others.”
Serenity raised her eyes to look at him. Was he trying to comfort her?
Lucas’s tall and slender frame was clad in a dark silvery gray suit, and his handsome face was set in a cold and
indifferent expression. The Prince of the Entertainment Industry had always been infamous for being a cold and
distant man, known for switching from one girlfriend to another, but nobody could guess who his next girlfriend

Would it be Lynette? Serenity thought suddenly. After all, Lucas had chosen all those other women in the past to be
her cousin’s substitute, so now that he had finally found the real person he was loulding for and now that Lynette
had gotten a divorce, there was simply no reason why they would not get together.
“What are you thinking about?” he asked in an icy tone.
“Nothing,” the answered. There was no reason to talk to him about those thoughts in her head just now, and so
what even if he did decide to date Lynette? It was none of her business anyway.
And yet… Serenity’s mind was full of nagging questions. What was that dream all about? And did Lucas have
anything to do with the little boy in her dreams?
She remembered how, after the little boy had fallen down the hill in her dreams, he had taken the little girl’s hand
and held it very tightly and was trembling so much with fear that she could even feel it after waking up.
That scared little boy seemed nothing at all like the cool and reserved man standing in front of her now.
Yet Serenity still pursed her lips and asked, “When you were young, did people use to call you…”
“What?” Lucas asked.
But just then, Lynette picked up a handbag and turned to him excitedly, asking, “What do you think about this one,
Lucas?”
It was a limited edition handbag Lynette had once seen a video of someone showing it off online, saying it was the
kind of handbag only the richest could afford, and the comments below were full of people praising the bag and
flattering its owner.
If Lynette could really get her hands on it, perhaps she could show it off online too!
But right at that moment, a simple word escaped Serenity’s lips, “Luke”
Lucas was about to turn to Lynette when he heard her voice, but when he heard that name from Serenity, his

had crossed time and space, merging with the exact same voice that had been calling that name in his memories.
He stared at the woman in front of him in shock, asking, “What What did you just say?”
Serenity then repeated her question, “I was asking you if people used to call you Lale when you were young.”
The next moment, Lucas darted toward Serenity and grabbed her arın.
“Why did you ask me that question? he demanded. “Why did you call me by that name?!”
He was gripping her arin so tiglidly that it actually hurt her so inuch that she grimaced.
“I… I was only…”
“What are you doing, Lucas?!”
Lynette rusland toward them hastily. Only then did Lucas’s senses return to him and he noticed Serenity’s palised
expression
He slowly released his tight hold around her arrn, yet he still would not let her go.
