At the very next moment, Jackson reached over and grabbed her wrist.
Serenity looked back at him in surprise. “What’s the matter?
He pursed his thin lips, and his gaze gradually cleared up. Wearing a slight smile, he replied, “It’s
nothing. Go get changed.”
After he had let go of her hand, Serenity went into the changing room. It was only when she shut the
door that Jackson closed his eyes.
Not yet. He had spent so much effort just for her to grow close to him. She would be frightened if he
moved too quickly.
Serenity was like a timid little animal. She was as cautious as she was timid. Every step she took was
filled with trepidation.. Jackson, on the other hand, had to be extremely patient in order to slowly break

Only then would she truly fall in love with him. Only then would she be unable to leave his side!
And so, patience was key…
But he wanted her love so badly!
Serenity changed back into her clothes and left the changing room. When she stepped out, she noticed
Jackson staring at the floor with a deadpan expression.
“What’s the matter? What are you thinking of?” she asked.
Jackson lifted his head and smiled at her. “It’s nothing.” He then took the clothes that she had picked
out and brought them.
to the cashier.
Just as they stepped into an elevator and were about to leave, a young lady ran up to Jackson. “Hi, I’m
Flora Chandler. I’m a sophomore student at Solaria State University. Can I have your mumber?”
She had an innocent and beautiful face paired with long black hair that was allowed to fall freely. Her
curvaceous body was gift -wrapped in the latest spring designer clothes, which suggested that she was
from a relatively well-off family.
Jackson stared back at her coldly and replied, “No.”
“Is it because of her? Is she your girlfriend?” asked Flora as she casually pointed at Serenity, who was
standing next to him.
Jackson narrowed his eyes, and a dangerous aura immediately began to overflow. Even Flora started
to tremble in fear, but that only invoked her desire for conquest even more.
Flora was the class beauty that everyone adored and chased after. She wasn’t interested in any of her
suitors despite how many there were. It was rare that she came across a man so pleasing to look at.
This was partly why she refused to belleve she couldn’t conquer Jackson’s heart.
She felt she was much better than the lady standing next to Jackson, whose outfit appeared rather
dates. Even though her appearapre was passable, her face wasn’t well-maintained, and the same went
for her hair, which was dry and withered. Her clothes were nothing to shout home about either.

think I’ll make a pretty nice girlfriend!” asserted Flora with utmost confidence.
There were quite a lot of people who liked her manierism. Her straightforwardness and naivety added
to her charm.
There was aroller girl of roughly the same age standing next to Flora. Suchenly, she spoke up, “Flora’s
the prettiest girl on campus! I’ve seen countless men chase after her, but this is the first time I’ve seen
her ask someone else for his number.”
In other words, she was telling Jackson that he should be grateful for the opportunity.
Flora maintained her confident smile. She was sure that even if Jackson wanted to turn her down, he
would feel reluctant
about it. She was hoping to make use of his reluctance and at least acquire his number.
Serenity wasn’t even included in her equation. In her eyes, that lady wasn’t even on the same level as
herself.
Even if Serenity started lecturing her, Flora was prepared to snap back at her and make her feel
embarrassed.
