didn't deny it after he was caught visiting Emma's mother with her in the hospital. For that, Zola had

cried more times than she could count and eventually made up her mind to leave Alpha Productions in

an attempt to draw Wesley's attention and make him keep her.

When Wesley learned about her intention to leave, he was surprised and asked to have a word with

her about it in private after his return in a few days. Upon hearing the man's reply, Zola was over the

moon, thinking that was a sign of concern that the man was showing her. However, her happiness was

short-lived when the news about Emma visiting Wesley's residence that night came like a bolt in the

blue. After all, she had arranged for facial treatments and made appointments for manicure therapy in

order to make herself look prettier and younger when she met Wesley. "Why?! Why is this happening to

me?!" Zola angrily snarled and growled like a beast in her house. On the other hand, her assistant,

Becky Jensen, was doing some research for her, pretending as if she didn't hear the jarring screaming.

In fact, Zola already had a deal with Crystal, who wanted her to come up with a script similar to

Emma's 'The Love Story of Imperial Consort Rose'. Besides that, Crystal also told her to get her script

done as soon as possible so that the drama could be released around the same time as Emma's

drama to see if they could outperform her work. Nevertheless, when Crystal got her hands on Emma's

script and gave it to Zola to plagiarize, she refused to do that, thinking she had no problem writing a

story that centered around an ancient female protagonist. Thinking she could produce a better script

than Emma did, Zola decided to prove her worth by requesting Crystal to let her write a different story,

to which the latter agreed. However, if Zola's drama failed to receive a higher rating than Emma's, she

would have to pay a sum of money as the ultimate price.

While the deal between Zola and Crystal was nothing much too different from a dangerous bet, Becky

advised Zola to take precautions about that. After all, Zola seemed to struggle to keep up her good

work ever since she managed to create a big hit with that one and only drama she produced.

Therefore, her assistant was worried that Zola would find herself on the losing end should her drama

fail to outperform Emma's. Nonetheless, Zola was blinded by her rage about the ostensible relationship

between Wesley and Emma as she even pledged her mansion, which was her biggest asset, for the

deal, yet she let Becky do all the research as soon as she accepted the deal, completely ignoring all

preparation at the beginning of the project. Needless to say, Becky was left unhappy by her boss'

irresponsibility but decided to bury herself in work and pretended that she didn't hear Zola's frustrated

screaming.

On the other hand, there was another person who also shared Zola's bad mood—Trevor. When he

read the comments about how much Emma was in love with Wesley, he got so angry that he nearly

hurled Zachary's phone across the lounge. Nevertheless, Zachary quickly snatched his phone back

from his angry friend and said, "Calm down, okay? Just keep a cool head."

At that moment, Trevor felt as if the whole world had crumbled around him because he didn't think

Emma would visit Wesley so late at night after he told her to take care of her messy relationship with

the celebrity. Did I make the wrong move, or is she really in love with Wesley? At the thought of that,

the man covered his face with his palm, weakly leaning back on the couch while speaking with a

disheartened voice. "Do I really have to give my life in exchange for her forgiveness?"

Scared by his friend's words, Zachary immediately became serious and asked, "Seriously, Trevor? You

want to die because of that?"

Trevor pursed his lips with his hands covering his eyes while leaning back in his seat. While Zachary

and Kaleb couldn't observe his emotion with their eyes covered, they could still feel the sadness within

him. Zachary then exchanged gazes with Kaleb and patted the table. "Come on. Emma is just one lady,

isn't she?! I could always get you another one. Just give me a moment. I'm going to get some ladies

now. Feel free to take your pick." Zachary reached for his cell phone and was about to make the call.

"No! Get those filthy women away from me!" Trevor put his hand down and revealed his face,

responding unhappily. After all, he wasn't a promiscuous pervert, and he wondered how those women

were going to solve his problem. Meanwhile, Zachary seemingly ignored Trevor's words and went

ahead to make the phone call, although he had always obeyed his every wish. Ten minutes later,

someone knocked on the door outside the lounge, whereupon a number of ladies entered the room,

filling the atmosphere with their strong perfume.

As Trevor was rendered speechless by that, Kaleb couldn't stop sneezing because of the strong

perfume, which forced him to step away from the ladies. Soon, Zachary looked at the ladies and said,

"Mr. Bateson is not in a good mood now. Do something to make him happy." A few seconds later, he

glimpsed Kaleb and playfully added, "Mr. Walsh also just broke up not long ago, so please don't leave

him out."

Upon hearing Zachary's words, Kaleb was left in bewilderment and confusion, wondering what he had

done to annoy Zachary so much that he told those ladies to surround him.
