on the bed as my eyes stay glued to her while she takes a seat at the end of the bed. "Did you kiss Rosie at the
party?" My eyebrows rise in surprise. How did she find out? | didn't tell anyone. Did Rosie tell her? Why would
she do that when she was the one who toldnot to mention the kiss to anyone? "Who told you?" | ask.
"The news," she replies, handingher phone. | look at her screen and find a picture ofand Rosie kissing.

When | check my phone, | see tons of messages and e-mails. Sare from my friends, happy that I finally
managed to find a girl I like. But others are from sfamous brands, inquiring about havingand Rosie as
their brand am**ors or just being the faces of their new campaigns. What is going on?
Why do people care so much about my love life?
I look through the messages and find one from Rosie. It is a very simple 'We need to talk' text.
I'm certain she wants to talk, but | have no clue what she may want to say to
me.
"Where would you like us to meet?" | quickly send back.
Her reply is rather quick. 'My place seems fine."
| take a deep breath and get up to change my clothes. How am | supposed to face Emily and Julian? | don't want
them to think that I'm toying with their daughter.
It doesn't takelong to arrive at her place. When she opens the door for me, it's easy to detect how nervous
she is. Neither of us expected that to happen. It was just a kiss that meant a lot tobut was only a mistake to
her.
"Do you want something to drink?" she asks me.
"Coffee would be great," | say, following her to the kitchen. "You've seen the news, haven't you?"

"You... you looked kissable," | answer her question. My answer. ms to startle her for a second. I'm aware of how
s**id my answer seems, but what else can. | tell her? Do | tell her that | can't get her out of my mind? Do I tell
her that she's all that | think about and the only girl | want?
"It's one thing to prank each other, but it's completely another thing to play with my feelings." Her tone is stern
and her words are painful.
"Is that what you think of me? Do you think I'm capable of playing with a girl's heart?" | say. | know | haven't
exactly portrayed the best image ofin her mind, but | have never thought that she thinks so low oflike
that.
"No! This isn't what | meant!" she exclaims, covering her face with her hands for a moment before brushing
them over her blonde hair. "We don't kiss. people because they look kissable, Silas!"
"Then why did you kissback?" It's not like she didn't reciprocate. | might have initiated the kiss, but she
kissedback.
"Il... It was..." she sputters, looking down. "I don't know. It was the heat of the moment," she mumbles.

are you going?" She frowns.
"I have somewhere to be," I reply, making my way towards the door.
Maybe Mum is wrong. Maybe | can't have her.
"Silas, are you upset?" | turn to face her before | open the door. | look at her face, taking in her features. She is
absolutely stunning in the most effortless way. It is impossible to stay mad at or be upset with her. Not when she
looks atwith pure innocence.. "No, I'm not," | tell her. It "Are you... mad atme?"

"I thought you couldn't stand me, Rosie. | chuckle. "Why do you care?"
"I don't know, but... | care," she says. The more | look at her beautiful face, the more distressed | find her.
"Chere." | sigh as | make my way towards her. | take her in my arms and surprisingly, she quickly hugs me
back. I'm not sure what's going on in her mind, but I want to calm down the loud thoughts in her head. "This
changes nothing, Rosie. | will still annoy the hell out of you, okay?" She laughs in my embrace, and | smile. If this
is all I can be to her, then so be it.
Maybe I'm destined to be nothing but a friend to her and | just need to accept my fate.
