“State your names.” the guard said sternly.

previously met with Lord Cloyd a few times. I’m here to request an audience with him.”
The guards could not help but give Laelia another once over after hearing she was from the Tabal Empire’s Targwyn
family.
Then, one of the guards replied, “Please wait here. I’ll go report your visit.”
Meanwhile, a young man sat at the head of the table in the main hall of the City Lord’s Mansion. He was dressed in
a blue robe and held onto a paper fan, constantly flapping it.

An old man sat opposite the blue robed man.
The old man looked between 70 and 80 years old and wore a black robe. His expression was grim as he slammed
his hands on the table, causing wine to spill everywhere.

The man in blue glanced at the old man.
