Chapter 938
Putnam slammed on the arm of his wheelchair, looking rather ticked off. “He disagrees? He thinks he’s the big
cheese around here? As long as the Blanchet family has me, there’s no way that whippersnapper can just do as he
pleases!”
“You…” Marissa looked worried. She wanted to convince this stubborn old man but was interrupted by a voice from
behind.
“I’m sorry, Putnam Blanchet. I’ve brought negative impact and loss to the Blanchet Corporation and the Blanchet
family, but rest assured, I will do my best to restore the family’s reputation. I will also do everything in my power to

Hearing Ellinor’s voice, the fiery Putnam paused, then looked up at Ellinor, his frown deepening.
Marissa and Veronica also instinctively turned their heads.
They saw Ellinor and Theo standing not far behind them.
Manssa was slightly embarrassed, “Ellinor, Theo, when did you guys come over? Why didn’t you say anything when
you came in?”
Theo nonchalantly said. “We just got here.”
Putnam scrutinized Ellinor, “You said you’re here to compensate for our family’s losses? How do you plan to do
that?”
Ellinor remained cool. “I can’t prove my unaccomplished things right now, but I can assure you, if I can’t fulfill my
promise, I’ll leave the Blanchet family on my own accord. You won’t have to kick me out.”
Putnam looked at her determined face, his puzzled gaze deepening. He thought, “This little girl is too cocky!”
But the words that came out of his mouth were, “Fine! I’ll wait and see how you pull it off!”
Ellinor nodded at Putnam, then turned to Marissa and smiled slightly. “I’m a bit tired. I’m going up to rest. You guys
should also rest early.”
Marissa felt sorry for her, so she gently said, “OK, go ahead. Ellinor, Putnam is just a grumpy old man. Don’t take his
words to heart. I know you’re a good kid!”
Ellinor smiled and nodded at Marissa, then went upstairs.
Putnam snorted, “She’s got some nerve!”
Theo stood there, looking coldly at him, “Grandpa, you should get some rest.”

Putnam glared at his grandson. “What’s this kid’s deal? Does he think I’m nosy?” he thought.
Marissa gave her stubborn old man a glare, “You! At your age, can’t you intervene less in the affairs of the kids?”
Putnam scowled. “This matter has affected the entire Blanchet family’s reputation. Do you think I want to meddle?”
“Alright, alright. It’s late now. Go to sleep! I believe Theo can handle this issue.”
Marissa couldn’t convince her stubborn husband, nor could she make him listen to her advice. She didn’t want to
argue anymore, so she pushed his wheelchair back to their room.
Veronica sighed and returned to her room as well.
She would undoubtedly be gloating over Theo’s misfortune if it had happened in the past and suspect Ellinor of
causing problems for the Blanchets.
