“Don’t worry. I’m here,” Solomon comforted her and pulled her behind him.

Solomon still had not caught up with his feelings for Ichika.

It was true that anyone would stand up for another person when there was injustice, but this was

Solomon.

He could not care less about other people, but it was instinctive for him to shield her from harm. He did

not know why he felt that way.

He had never, ever wanted to protect a woman so openly, barring Sasha.

Ichika was shaking in fear and agitation when everything happened so suddenly.

Around the entrance, everyone was thunderstruck.

It was a sensational moment.

No one expected a man to come out of nowhere and separate the couple, what more booting Hiroshi,

the husband-to-be of Ichika and the son of the Tsurka family.

He was the heir of the family and would inherit Sinch Enterprise. He was not just any random person.

Who would dare lay a finger on him?

With that question in mind, the reporters directed their cameras at Solomon, and the sound of shutters

clicking followed.

It did not take long before the journalists realized that Solomon looked familiar. “Isn’t he the adopted

son of the Tsurka family? His mother was all over the news last time!”

“You’re right! What’s he doing here? Stoking another drama?”

“I know, right? I thought he already went back to work at his real family’s company?”

“Yeah, Hayes Corporation. What’s he doing here though? I thought Hayes Corporation is much bigger

than Sinch Enterprise?”

“Don’t tell me he’s here because of the young woman?”

The reporters had a keen sense. They knew something worthwhile was brewing. Back when Solomon

was still engaged to Ichika, the Minamotos held back and did not announce their marriage because he

did not seem enthusiastic about their engagement. Thus, the public was unaware of the original

arrangement.

They thought Solomon was here to snatch what was not his to begin with.

The reporters thought so because Yancy was a home-wrecker. Back then, she had forced her way into

the Tsurka family, so everyone thought her son would behave similarly.

After all, the apple never fell far from the tree.

While everyone was waiting for the next twist of events, Hiroshi got back on his feet and looked at

Solomon angrily. Before he could even chastise Solomon, their older brother Kawanari stepped in.

“What do you think you’re doing, Akiyama? Are you here to create trouble again?” he roared.

Solomon eyed him coldly. “Do I look like I’m creating trouble? I’m simply protecting the family’s good

name. Do you guys even know what you’re doing? How could you misbehave just because Father’s

not around?”

Solomon was not the slightest bit flustered at his brother’s anger.

“It is what it is. I hit him, but he deserved it for doing something so disgraceful,” Solomon reminded him.

Hiroshi had just stood up again when he strode toward Solomon. “Yeah, Father’s not here today, but so

what? I can do whatever I like! It’s not like I did something wrong, right?”

Solomon turned and cast his chilly gaze at his impertinent brother.

“Allow me to remind you, brother. The Tsurka family is a well-reputed family. I won’t allow you to tarnish

the family’s image with your actions. Do you take Ms. Minamoto for a random young woman you met at

those red-light districts you love to frequent? You’re behaving so recklessly simply because you have

Sinch Enterprise in your hands. Without that, you’re nothing!”

“You—”

Hiroshi was mortified when Solomon called him out in front of everyone.

Although it sounded as if Solomon was demeaning the Minamoto family and Ichika, his accusation was

aimed at Hiroshi.

He had just revealed to the public that Hiroshi was a man with a questionable private life. His words

insinuated that Hiroshi was a regular at the more unspeakable parts of town.

The reporters were appalled.

Even the Minamotos found Hiroshi’s behavior preposterous.

“Is that true? Do you even love my Ichika?”

Aoi was disconcerted by the news. She would never allow her daughter to marry a man like that.

Hiroshi denied all the allegations. “It’s not true, Mrs. Minamoto. Don’t listen to this jerk. I’m the heir of

the Tsurka family. There’s no way I would do something like that!”

Kawanari also came to his brother’s defense. “Yes. You have nothing to worry about, Mrs. Minamoto.

This bastard has been contacting our father recently. You know how our father has always been biased

toward him. He’s always been enamored with that witch of a mother of his and has always wanted to

hand down Sinch Enterprise to this bastard. That’s why they’re working together to mar Hiroshi’s

reputation.”

He saw to it that everyone present was reminded of what Yancy had done to his family and even put

Solomon in his appropriate place.

Everyone looked at Solomon and was waiting for a comeback from him.

They were sneering and mocking him.

They looked at Solomon as if he was unworthy. There was despise and distaste in their eyes.

Ichika looked at Solomon, afraid that he would be affected, but to her surprise, Solomon did not seem

to care at all.

All she could feel was his intensifying grip around her hand. He was holding her so hard it started to

hurt.
