Chapter 1753 Aurora’s Obstinance

Cindy went to the bathroom and drenched a towel before coming back to wipe Aurora up.

The cool sensation of the towel sobered Aurora up a little. She was no longer a child anymore, so she knew she had

fallen sick at that moment. Aurora pushed herself up to get out of bed. “I’ll take some paracetamol. That should

patch me up just fine.”

They did have some paracetamol at home, since Cindy had kept some after she moved in. Despite that, she said, “I

think you should go to the hospital. We need to get you checked just in case.”

Aurora forced a weak smile. “I don’t need to make a trip to the hospital. I know my body better than anyone. It’ll be

fine after I take some pills.” She wobbled out of the room to get the paracetamol. Aurora knew where the

medicines were, and she went straight for it.

Cindy went and stopped her. “You should wash your face for now. Get something to eat before you take the pills, or

it’ll hurt your stomach.”

Aurora had no strength to resist at all. She nodded at Cindy and acquiesced, “Fine, I’ll do as you say.” She went to

the bathroom and washed her face quickly before wobbling back to the dining table.

Cindy and Ian quickly sat down, and Cindy filled Aurora’s bowl with food. “You can’t heal without a full belly.”

Aurora picked her cutlery up and stuffed the food into her mouth quietly.

Ian had a frown on his forehead. He didn’t eat anything and only stared at his mother.

Aurora was eating a lot, and she was eating fast. It was obvious that she was gobbling everything up without even

chewing.

Cindy said nothing. After all, it was good enough that Aurora could work up an appetite.

Aurora finished her meal before Cindy and Ian even started, gobbling up half the food all by herself.

Cindy came back with some pills, then she poured a glass of water.

Aurora took all the pills Cindy gave her without even looking. After that, she pushed herself up and told the couple,

“You guys go ahead. I’ll get some sleep. Just leave me alone, and I’ll be fine in a jiffy.”

Ian and Cindy said nothing to that. After Aurora went back to her room and closed the door, they looked at each

other and sighed.

It was obvious that Aurora’s condition was linked to the earlier visit. They wondered what they had talked about,

since it caused Aurora to act weird the whole day.

Ian told Cindy, “You go first. You must be tired.”

Again with the sex talk? She glared at him and pursed her lips. A while later, she shot back, “Hey, you were the one

doing all the work earlier, so you should be the one eating. I’m fine, really.”

Ian laughed, and he pinched her face. “Well, someone’s improving.”

Cindy snorted. She was actually blushing, but she tried to look as calm as possible. “Thanks to you.” She popped a

piece of meat into her mouth.

Ian’s lips curled into a smile, and he went back to his meal. Halfway through, they started talking about the news

online.

Cindy was curious about it. She wanted to know what happened to Leah after she went to the hospital and argued

with Bryce.

Ian had no idea either. He actually wanted to call Sean and ask about it, but it would feel like he was just trying to

get a kick out of the situation. It would not look good on him, so he didn’t make the call in the end.

Judging by how aggressive Leah and her children were looking in the car park earlier, Ian guessed that they had

probably caused a big commotion in the ward. Bryce had always been the lynchpin in the household, and Leah had

always allowed him to do whatever he wanted. Bryce was already used to the status quo, so Leah’s sudden

demands would most probably infuriate him. However, that was not a smart move by Leah. Instead of being so

aggressive, she should have chosen to lay low while she was in the heat of the matter.
