Chapter 1777 Another Day

The doctor had used a bunch of medical terms that Sean barely understood. All Sean knew was that Bryce wasn’t

doing too well. When they looked back at Bryce’s condition during his time at the hospital, it seemed like Bryce had

been pretty healthy. If there had to be a reason for Bryce’s sudden deterioration in health, it was probably due to

the recent issues he faced with Leah. It was possible that Bryce’s body couldn’t handle the rage he felt toward the

woman.

Bryce was no longer a young man—with his increasing age came weaker health and lower capacities to handle

stress. Sean couldn’t exactly find it in him to pity the old man—Bryce was partially responsible for the situation he

was in, after all. The only thing Sean could do was to provide as much medical attention as he could. Everything

else would depend on the doctors.

Right then, Aurora lowered her gaze to look at Bryce. He had already seemed old and weak when she last saw him,

but he looked even paler and frailer with the oxygen mask covering his face. After the previous talk she had with

Bryce, Aurora had actually moved past all the things that had happened between them. However, after she heard

what Leah said, she realized that she still felt some resentment toward Bryce. However, her resentment had

nothing to do with herself —it had more to do with Ian. So, Aurora didn’t feel too sorry for Bryce even when she saw

him in such a state. She simply shook her head while sighing. “Did something trigger his temper just now? Why did

this happen so suddenly?”

Sean shook his head—he didn’t know what had happened. When Sean got off work, he had received a call from

Bryce. Bryce told Sean that he wasn’t feeling too well and asked Sean to visit him, but Bryce got a seizure before

the call even ended.

Sean checked with the nurses earlier, but the nurses explained that no one had visited Bryce that day. It had been

an uneventful day for Bryce, so the only possible explanation Sean could think of was that Bryce must have been

ruminating about the recent incidents. Perhaps he got mad after thinking about those things over and over again. I

can’t think of any other possibility, Sean thought.

Throughout their conversation, Cindy kept her mouth shut. She had no comment on this matter. The Morgan Family

was a complicated mess, and she had never been exposed to such matters, so she decided that she shouldn’t talk

much.

Sean spoke up after a while. “The doctor said that he should be able to wake up tomorrow. Why don’t you drop by

again tomorrow? I’m sure he has some stuff to say to you.” Bryce had mentioned Ian’s name twice during his call

with Sean earlier. Although Bryce hadn’t made any direct requests, Sean knew that Bryce wished to see Ian.

Ian nodded. “I haven’t booked my flight, so I can stay for a few more days if needed.”

“We’ll see how it goes,” Sean said with a sigh. “If things look good, then you can go on with your usual schedule. If

things look bad, then…” Sean paused for a moment before he went on. “You might have to stay for a while longer.”

Ian completely understood what Sean was implying—Sean was saying that Bryce might pass away if he

encountered any further health complications. The Morgan Family was a reputable household—even though they

weren’t the most respected people at that point in time, they would still have to host a grand funeral if anything

were to happen to Bryce. Even though Ian wasn’t close to his father, he would still have to show up. “Okay. I got it.

We’ll see how it goes,” Ian said with a nod.

After a short while, Ian decided that Bryce wasn’t going to wake up anytime soon. Out of courtesy, Ian stayed for a

while more before he left. Ian figured that Sean would stay the night at the hospital, so he reminded Sean to call

him if anything happened in the middle of the night.

Sean hesitated for a while after he sent his visitors to the door. “Did the two of them contact you?”

Ian knew who Sean was referring to. “Sally came to see me previously, but I never heard from Simon.”

“Tsk, tsk. Both of them disappeared after that fight. I asked the housekeeper about it, but the housekeeper said that

neither one of them has returned. I don’t know what the two of them are thinking,” Sean uttered.
