Chapter 1912 Bad News
Ian looked as calm as ever. Cindy scrolled through the chat and found more photos of Ian’s gathering the day
before. Most of them were of Ian and Yulia alone together. Wow, they really want to know the latest gossip about
Ian and Yulia, huh? She gave the phone back to the driver and asked, “What do they think about this? The people in
the group, I mean.”
The driver clicked his tongue. “They just want to see the drama unfold, but now that Yulia and Ian are showing up
together, those guys are coming up with theories of their own and talking about the affair.”
Yeah, well, that’s normal. Besides, this industry has a lot going on. Anything can happen, so it’s normal that they’d

The driver laughed. “I never did chat in the group, so they don’t know who I am.”
Cindy nodded silently. She thought Ian would come out a short while later, but it took longer than she expected, and
she was wondering what happened. The show shouldn’t have taken a lot of time, and even if they had to shoot a
few more scenes, it shouldn’t have dragged on that long. She whipped her phone out, but she hesitated. She
wanted to call him, but she was worried that she might get in the way of his work.
A while later, the driver said, “Oh, he’s out.”
Cindy turned around and saw him coming out of the set. She knew him, so she could see that he was upset, and
she got out of the car. “What happened? What did they say?”
Ian wrapped his arm around her shoulder and got in the car with her, then he closed the door. “Let’s go home.
We’ll talk about it when we’re home.”
The driver revved the car up and drove away. Ian kept quiet the whole way.
Cindy could feel that something was wrong, but she held back her curiosity until they got home. After they got out
of the car, she finally asked while they walked toward the front door, “Did something bad happen?”
Ian heaved a sigh. “The director wanted to see me. He probably knows Yulia.”
The director was a middle-aged man, and Ian didn’t expect him to even bring that kind of suggestion up. At first,
the director said that they wanted to invite Ian to be a permanent guest for the show starting next episode, but
since something else happened, they canceled that plan.
He didn’t have to call Ian over just to talk about that. Ian wasn’t angry though, and he just nodded. However, the
director shifted the topic next. He said that many directors had talked about it, and he said Ian would face a lot of

The director then said he hoped Ian would make the smart choice, since Ian couldn’t completely rely on someone
else. He didn’t want Ian to make decisions based on his emotions. That was the gist of what he said, and it was
obvious what he was getting at. Ian left right away without saying anything.
He wasn’t surprised that this would happen. A long time ago, he had expected Yulia to trip him up if he did go
against her one day. He wondered what Yulia said to get those directors to turn on him.
Cindy kept quiet. She knew Yulia would do it sooner or later, but she never thought it’d come so early. She thought
someone like Yulia would never make things so awkward. She never thought Yulia would try to destroy Ian just
because she couldn’t get her hands on him. She thought Yulia would pretend like it was fine just to preserve her
image.
