Did he hit his head or what? Who would accept an invitation to go to a hospital?
He did not seem to think that he had interruptedand continued to say politely, "If you want to rest, then
we've arranged a private room for you. If you
need someone to accompany you, then we'll be here."
He pointed at the black-clad men around him.
| glared at him. These guys were the reason why | felt so uneasy in the first place.

| put my phone away and continued to stare at the light of the operation room.
| could only wander alone in the hallway full of black-clad men.
When | was exhausted, | sat down on the chair on the side and fell asleep by accident.
After stime, | realized that | was sleeping on a bed when | opened my eyes. | was wearing the sclothes,
but I did not have any recollection of how I got here. The gray velvet blanket coveringhad tactile appeal, but
from the scenery outside the window, | recognized that | was still in Alex's private hospital.
| immediately rolled over and sat up. As | moved too abruptly, my head started spinning.
At this moment, the sound of the door opening sounded, but | had no tto react. When | opened my eyes, |
saw that Ronny had walked in.
"You fell asleep in the corridor, Mrs. Grant. We were worried that you might catch a cold, so we brought you here.
After you fell asleep, the doctor gave you an examination. Both you and the baby are safe." My heart chilled
after hearing what he said.
Munchkin and Theo were still in their hands. Now that these guys knew that | was also pregnant, they knew
almost all of my weaknesses.
"How did the operation go?" | calmed down and planned to solve urgent matters first.
"The operation is complete. Munchkin and Mr. Hodds are fine."
I did not care about how Alex was doing, but since he insisted on telling me, | was not going to let the
information go to waste.
"Perfect. | have things to discuss with your young master. Where is he?"
| pushed the covers aside and got out of bed. The slippers that the hospital prepared forwere clearly one
size larger, making it harder forto walk faster.

Having no tto waste, | walked straight to the door and opened it. Ignoring Penny's dissuasion, | rushed out of
the room.
"Mr. Hodds is still resting, Mrs. Grant. You can discuss the details with him after."
"It's okay. Just tellthe ward number or I'll go ward by ward myself to look for him."
Even though the operation was complete, | could not just sit around and wait for news.
| must ask him why he was targeting my child!
Having said that, | raised my hand to push open the door of the ward next door.
It was an empty ward that looked slightly smaller. | was not sure what it was used for.
The second ward was an escort room. It looked so immaculate just like a hotel.
| was a little puzzled. It would be impossible to find him if this went on.
| looked around. This was Alex's private hospital. The nurses would never tellhis ward number. Where else «
